Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Franklin County economy in first half of 2017 with 301 reported sales totaling $41,465,546. Sales continue to be a driving force in Franklin County economy.
Residential sales increased 11 percent from 272 sales reported in first half of the year 2016 to 301 sales reported in first half of the year 2017. The median sales price increased one percent from $125,200 in first half of the year 2016 to $127,000 in first half of the year in 2017. The average days on the market decreased 11 percent from 101 days in first half of the year 2016 to 90 days in first half of the year 2017.
Residential sales in Franklin County increased eight percent from June 2016 with 60 sales compared to 65 sales in June 2017. Pending sales decreased from 72 in June 2016 to 67 pending sales reported in June 2017. The median sales price had decreased from $132,500 in June 2016 to $129,900 in June 2017. New listings decreased 33 percent from 94 new listings in June 2016 to 63 new listings in June 2017.
